For the perfect family ski trip, Purgatory/Durnago Mountain can't be beat.  The area has a good number of beginner and intermediate runs, as well as "Half Pipes" for fool-harty.  The area is small enough to walk to apre-ski dinner and drinks, and to let the children run without worry. Ski school and bunny slope are available and not at all crowded.

Angelhaus is a comfortable old but updated 40 unit building. With one-two-and three bedroom units for rent by their individual owners.  Each unit is individualized and decorated by the owner to make your stay interesting and enjoyable.  Reservations are made by internet or phone, and if my unit is full, I will help you find another. Payment is easy with paypal or credit card over the internet. We are here to help you have a wonderful stay, because we want you to come back and recommend us to others. 

Getting to Durango is easy and does not involve "mountain driving".  From Texas, go to Albuquerque and trun right. From Phoenix or L.A. go to Flagstaff and turn left. Durango has airline service from Denver, Pheonix and  Salt Lake. (Southwest Brings skiiers from Dallas (packages).
